The Illini Skyriders Flying Club was established in 1982 as EAA Chapter UL30 with members flying Weedhoppers, Quicksilvers, and other early era ultralights. Some members still fly ultralights but many have moved on to amateur-built and light sport aircraft. We have monthly meetings at various airstrips in our area and focus on having fun. Enthusiasts of all types of aircraft are welcome to attend our events and join the chapter.
Our members have experience in a wide variety of light planes and can help newcomers with advice and direction. We fly together to attend local and regional fly-ins and can help you get more out of your aviation experience
For more information on our chapter, please contact our president via the contact information provided in the sidebar.
Our chapter is part of the worldwide network of EAA chapters. EAA embodies the spirit of aviation through the world's most engaged community of aviation enthusiasts. EAA's 170,000 plus members enjoy the fun and camaraderie of sharing their passion for flying, building and restoring recreational aircraft.
